What do all of you find is the best time to workout? I've been going to the gym in the morning, but I wonder sometimes if that's the best thing. Maybe if I go evenings, I wouldn't be sitting here munching all night? But that means either going on a full stomach, or having a really late supper. Hmmmmmm.

They say morning is the best time for exercising cause it raises the metabolism and releases endorfins into the system that will give you more energy.....and some say they feel better. I wouldn't know Committing to your quit is hard..... so is committing to an exercise program and healthy diet. Just like anything good......you have to want it baddddd! I am 10 lbs to heavy My cholesterol is a bit high I am over 40 and I have a high stress business oh my I am beginning to develope the motivation to change my lifestyle for the better it's a process

stressed, overweight...I NEED to get my butt in gear!!
I enjoy hitting the bike trail right after work. Mother nature hasn't been cooperating lately! I already get up at 430 AM, so I really don't want to try to squeeze exercise into my morning.....I need to get back into gear.

judyb, with the weather you've had down there, perhaps rowing would be the thing to do instead of cycling. Or swimming?

I prefer mornings for the metabolism boost all day. Exercising too late in the day keeps me way too stimulated for sleep, even after a hot bath. Sometimes though, after dinner is the only time available so in that case I would make the exception.

After work. I get up too early to exercise before work. As it is, I wake up the roosters so they can wake up the rest of the world. It's hard though. After work, all I really want to do is sit on my fat butt. If I don't allow myself to think about it, or to sit down, I can usually jump in there and get it done. I feel good afterward, it's just getting motivated.

I like to go to Curves as soon as they open in the morning (7 a.m.) and then come home and have a nice relaxing cup of coffee with hubby. Then start in on whatever the day has in store for me...after a shower that is ;D

I try to walk twice a day. I do the skywalks that connect the hospital where I work to the other hospital and clinic..........about 4 blocks round trip.........and I try to walk every night. Days off I walk in the mornings. I work 6 a.m. a lot of days and am busy getting me and the family ready so it is hard to go then........plus I find since I quit smoking....I am sleaping a little later as I do not need the extra time to smoke LOL!!!
