Hi all! Still smokefree and grateful about all the blessings that come with it: Clear head, calmness, clear skin, smell good, extra money, great concentration, more energy, pride in being on the right side ... so many blessings ... when you smoke you just cannot imagine the good things that come with quitting. No one tells you. Perhaps they weren't aware of it or they didn't know how to describe it. Who knows. Perhaps I wouldn't have believed it or been able to comprehend it. I hope those silent visitors to this site will believe it. Quit. It's doable. If I can do it, you can do it. This is your time. Do it. Don't be afraid to try because it didn't work the last time.

Yesterday was The Girl's birthday. Getting old. Still, she's never seen me smoke and I have to dig for the lighter to light the candles.
I don't know how people can still afford to smoke anymore. I heard that my state government was going to add another dollar in tax on them. When I quit, packs were about $3.25 local and about $5 in the city. I haven't priced them in a long time and one dandy benefit to quitting that's immediately noticed.
Sunday I heard the loud shrill of cicadas, twice. That's an august bug around my part of the world. Now I have to wonder if we get a longer summer or an early winter.
Party on!
