Hi Patch. Welcome. Smokers are really becoming the minority. I live in Ohio, and smoking is banned in all restaurants, bars, bowling allies, and most public places. It feels nice not to have to deal with where you CAN smoke. Hang in there. We're here to help.

Hi Dearda. Congrats on 6 awesome years. I take it that you finally got your thyroid back in balance and all is well. Good to hear from you. You're awesome.

Thanks guys. It's so hard to believe that it's been 4 years. Every struggle was so worth it. Thanks to all of you for helping me with the good times and the bad. I couldn't have made it without you. You are all in my heart.

Pick yourself up, dust yourselft off, we've all made u-turns in our quits. Getting back on right away as you did will help keep the momentum going. Congrats.

Coughing can be a good thing. You're getting all of that crap out of your lungs. Sleeping for a week is a good idea if you can do it. Hang in there.

Hi all. I know I haven't been around in quite some time. But since the death of my MIL, I've been very busy. I'm sure you have all been there.
I want to wish all of you the very best in 2008. God bless.
Quite 1/1/04 - yep, 4 years now. Whooo Hooo!

I have a friend and a niece that both quit using Chantix. They said it was like "a miracle". I'm for anything that will help kick the beast in the butt, literally.

Slim, I am so sorry to hear about your dog. As others have stated, our pets are family. The pain runs deep when we lose one. However, it may even be harder to watch them suffer. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Crunchy brown grass here too, but beautiful flowers. Grass comes back, flowers don't - priorities.

Late as usual. Hubby is doing better dealing with his mother's death. We have a long way to go. She moved into her house in 1937, and never threw anything away. We can't work in the house when it's hot b/c she didn't have ac. So, we'll really get started on the house this fall.
Happy Independence Day everyone.
I quit 1/1/04.

Hi all. I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while. MIL fell, was hospitalized, and unfortunately died in May. It's been especially rough because my hubby's father died when he was a child. He and his mother had an especially close relationship. But I managed to stay smokefree.
