Hi Don! Checking in. You're right. I am much more confident with my quit. I was at my niece's wedding last Saturday and there were a few smokers around and I had no intention of going back to that nightmare. I am so much better off since I quit smoking. I am healthier, physically, mentally and emotionally. It has improved my life a hundred fold. It is a wonderful thing not smoking. I love it. Treasure your quit everyone.

Hi Countryblocs! Yes it seems to be quieter around here. I have been a bit remiss myself. It's funny. The extra energy from quitting smoking gets channeled into working...which has been taking up my time. I'm also a bit disoriented as I'm using my smart phone instead of a computer. At any rate I'm still committed to this site. Keep the quit. Thinking of you all.

Hi all! How can the weather change so quickly! Last weekend it was actually sweltering. This week, rain. Went shopping after work and it was dark at 7:30. And isn't it the first day of fall today? Well time marches on and its been five years for me since I quit smoking. Been terribly busy at work too. My niece is getting married October 1st and we are all getting excited. Crazy disjointed post this week. Keep the quit everyone. God bless.

Thought I'd check in a bit early. Make up for missing last week! Getting used to my smart phone still throws off my usual habits. I'll get it right soon enough! Still smokefree and grateful for it. This keyboard is tricky though.
Ten year anniversary 9/11. What can I say. God bless us one and all.

Hello everyone. It has been a weird summer hasn't it! It's the weather. It was all over the place and its continuing! Hurricane Irene...the heat wave and the earthquake... and we in Vancouver BC with rain and or cool weather. We are finally getting some summer weather and now you tell me school is starting. Sheesh. Well, let us count our blessings, one of the most important ones being freed from cigarettes. Five years for me now. Have a great week everyone. God bless you.

Hello all! We have finally got summer here at last with weather more like fall than summer. Crazy weather. Most of the continent melting we were looking for a sweater. Three weeks till school? Gosh. So soon? Well sounds like you are having a pleasant summer. I'm enjoying the warm sunny days. Still not smoking. I do get passing thoughts and they remind me to be vigilant and not to take my quit for granted. Being freed from smoking has changed my life. A miracle. Keep the quit everyone. Till next week.

hey everyone! How are you doing with the heat wave? We in Vancouver Canada are fortunate. It is mild and rain is coming up. Many are glum about it but its better than a heat wave. Any weather is fine weather when you don't smoke though. Check in with your stats. Have a great smokefree free week my friends.

Checking in. During my morning work out today I looked at a sweater I just bought which is cream coloured and mohair. Just hanging. During my smoking days that sweater would have been put in a plastic case to protect it from the smoke! Soooooo grateful to have been delivered from the curse of smoking.
Have a great smokeless week everyone!
P.s. yes we too are still in spring mode. Had to buy this sweater because it was that chilly and I was in summer clothes. I prefer this to a heat wave though.

Checking in late! Change in routine so I forgot to check in. Blocked at work too. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate not smoking though. Still finding it a miracle and I am so grateful that I have been given the Grace to beat the addiction. God bless you all. Stay smokefree everyone.

Checking in! What a great post Slim! How soon we forget. Sometimes I now forget I ever smoked. That is indeed a far cry from counting the seconds and just breathing and holding on to the next breath! Congratulations to a swell guy! I'm so glad you quit and I'm sure your family and friends are too - so you can grace our earth awhile longer!
KTQ everyone!

Ooop! I thought I had already checked in! Good thing I checked (he he). Where is the summer? East coast is in a heat wave, we are limping towards something that resembles summer...We have hockey fever over here. Good thing I don't smoke anymore or I'd be chain smoking! Instead, I'm calm, centered and poised. That's what not smoking gives you! Thank you God and thank you Smoke Busters.

Good morning everyone! Summer is almost here. It's been the worst spring ever in this corner of the world with record cold and lots of rainy days but today, the sun is out and I could feel the first stirrings of summer morns. Some things you just can't remember, you have to experience them.
Sort of like not smoking. It's sooooo much better not smoking than smoking. Try it. Just for today.
Check in everyone and let us know your stats!
