Good morning everyone! It was a holiday yesterday for us Canucks. Nice to have an extra day off isn't it? It's even nicer not smoking!
Prayers to Missouri!

Good morning everyone! We over here in the Pacific Northwest have been getting rain and clouds and rain and then some showers. It's almost June and it's been more like September. Yet, the birds and the trees know it is spring. Today, we have glorious sun again. I've been enjoying the evening song of a lone red-breasted finch of late, each evening about sundown. Isn't that wonderful.
Jimpops, I'm sorry to hear you are ailing a bit. Hang in there. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, exercise and enjoy each day as it comes. God bless you.
So very grateful to have kicked the habit. Have a great week everyone.

That is good news Don. What a relief. She needs to continue with occupational therapy. I shall continue to pray for her.

Good morning everyone. It has been incredibly wet and grey around these parts of late. It's going on June and we are still in our fall clothes! Of course, we are not California. We are good for mild winters not sunny summers. So it is grey but mild and as we say over here, "It's not raining." I for one love the grey days. It is mild out and the wind has picked up and it's blowing from the south west, making it a lovely warm breeze, and it's blowing all the cherry blossoms off the trees, giving us a shower of pink petals. Eventually by the fall, all the flowers, leaves all dry up and swirl around and gather in corners, making a lovely pot pourri. Lucky here. Lots to be thankful for. One of the major ones to be thankful for is quitting smoking. It's changed my life.
Have a great week everyone. KTQ.

Smiling

I thought I would try smiling all day yesterday. It's not as easy as you might think you know. It is a habit. I had to check myself often to remind myself to smile. It is a rewarding thing to do. It turns out, there is scientific evidence to support this simple act. I thought I'd share with my Smoke Buster friends as we have a lot to smile about having beat the monkey on our backs. longevity.about.com/od/lifelongbeauty/tp/smiling.htm

Good morning everyone! Well, can't say the spring has bloomed at this end of town. There may even be a mix of rain and snow by Thursday! Sheesh. Oh well, it's still not winter and the days are longer and I don't need to go out to have cigarettes anymore and I don't stink of smoke and my breath is fresh and my skin clear. Can't complain; not at all.
Have a great week everyone.
p.s. Nice to see you again dorothyh.

Good morning all. It is blistery cold here in the Pacific Northwest but the sun is apparently on its way by Thursday. Yeah, right. Still, the birds know it's spring and so do the cherry blossoms. Both are busy doing their thing despite the cold. Obviously the spring thing is not dependent on temps or sun...just us humans. Sheesh. Well, at least we don't need to stand out in the cold and wet to have a cigarette anymore. And yes, Slim, it's hard to believe isn't it that there used to be lounges with drinking and smoking on planes at one time...I told a young fellow at work and he was amazed. Well, aren't we lucky that we had front seats to so many things ... the moon walk, the pill, the Beattles, John Kennedy, Martin Luther King....so many firsts...
Well, have a great smokeless week everyone!
p.s. Is anyone on Twitter? I am and I'm loving it..it's my new phone isn't it...it has this screen for it and well....

Good morning everyone! Well, isn't Don waxing poetic! Yes, spring does that to people doesn't it? It's cloudy and possibility of rain here but the temp is warm, a southern breeze...why spoil it with a cigarette hmm? Still very grateful to be free of that monkey!
Have a great smokeless week everyone!

Welcome Sunny. Hang in there! We are a small group with big hearts. Post as much as you need to. There are also lots of articles on our site which will help too so read a lot of them. A lot of the quitting involves your mind. How you think about your quit, how you think about smoking...re-think smoking and you're halfway there. Again, welcome aboard.

Good morning all! Did you catch the full moon on the weekend? Spring is officially here though many on the east coast would not agree. It was beautiful here yesterday but the rains have come for today. Oh well, thankfully, I don't need to stand out there smoking. Check in everyone and tell us how you are. KTQ!
