There have been studies that show those individuals prayed over had a higher rate of recovery than those purposely not.
Such as the case being, I report back to you all that mother-in-law got a very good checkup report from the doctor yesterday. The doctor believes that the cancer was contained and that MIL won't be needing chemotherapy. Thank you for your prayers!
On another related note, a close friend of mine (who I consider as my "younger brother")...well his wife is (do I dare say) terminal with cancer. She had a bad spell last week, but due to her condition, the local hospitals wouldn't admit her. She's currently resting in a Hospice directed hospital. If you still got extra prayers in your cupboards, please send a few down to my friend in Fla.

After a lengthy discussion with the angels, my good friend's wife passed away around 3am eastern time this morning. Her final words were "I am ready". I'll be looking into travel plans this week.
From lemons to lemonade To throw this into a comparison with the topic of this board: We often debate with ourselves about quitting. We eventually must come to a point when we are ready for change. When we quit smoking we willfully accept the burden or blessing of change and carry on toward the good we believe the change will bring. Unlike the blessed, I cannot promise you heaven. I cannot promise you good health. About the only thing I can promise you is freedom and self-respect. Your life is given back to you to do as you wish.
So, for all you wannabee quitters out there, Are You Ready?

Don, I am sorry about your friend's wife. I will remember her in my prayers, what is his her first name? Happy to hear that your mother-in-law is doing better. God bless you, John

I often think that The good Lord needs a few good people to help out up there...lots of angels this time of year.
We all have our angels don't we!
My prayers to you, your wife and the families Don.

This just brings to mind a thing I often say: We ALL quit smoking, SOONER OR LATER, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. I'm so glad I got to choose the way I quit.
Prayers for your mil's continued progress and for the family of your friend.
Take care Don. Dee
