Countryblocks, You are doing great, hang in there. Don't give in - try your best. The urge goes away. You have a good attitude. The mental stress - those unbearable urges are part of the healing process. Try to think of the positive aspects of quitting. Its very hard, but together with everyone here we can get through the addiction. God bless, John

Some days just suck lets face it.
But you are really doing well and focus on that positive! Think about how well you are doing overall and how your body is healing. You must continue on and stay quit
You can make it thru this!

Stay focused Countryblocks!
A cigarette will not make you feel better!
Not only do you not want to smoke, you can't smoke. It will ruin everything you're struggling hard to achieve.
However, if you truly feel that something is wrong with your health, then by all means see your doctor! Smoking can mask a lot of our problems. Won't you feel that much better when the doc gives you a clear bill of health.
And yes, step outside feel that air and step right back in again happy you're not like those poor fools huddled around their little, tiny cancer-campfires freezing in the wind at any given entrance.
Stay the path! KTQ!

Countryblocks--hang in there and don't give in! You are doing so well. It may be cold out, but bundle up real good and go outside and build a snowman! That will help take your mind off this monster. I'm having more trouble this week too--must be something in the air!
Keep up the good work!

You don't want to smoke, PERIOD! Keep repeating that to yourself when the craves come and they will come when you are least especting them. Do not give up, do not ever quit quitting. You've been down this road before and you know it's tough but just a couple minutes at a time try fighting it not for hours or the whole day. Just little bitty steps from one minute to the next are all that counts for today.
Keep yourself busy, do something with your hands, knit, paint, vacuum, soak in the tub, get some new nail polish and keep painting your nails so you can't light up. Distract your mind from the thinking of "just one" because that "just one" might just be the one to give you cancer and a cigarette never made things better for anyone.

Good advice Country. I think the holidays put extra stress on us, especially new quitters. You are under a lot of stress giving up smoking, the holidays add more stress. Relax. Take some time just for you. Pamper yourself a little. Deep breaths, deep breaths. Relax. The holidays will come and go whether you smoke or not, so please don't smoke. Take care.
