Happy New Year all!
I'm starting week 4. Didn't think I'd make it this far. Still can't go without the patch tho. I didn't know it, but last evening the patch got pulled partly off by my clothes. Couldn't figure out why I wanted to kill everyone and everything in sight! Finally realized it and put some tape over the patch to hold it down.
It scares me that I'm still so dependent on nicotine. I've stopped smoking, yes, but haven't ended my dependence on nicotine. Sure hope it gets better as time goes on, but so far no change from the first day when I didn't have a patch on.
I was on the step 1 patch for 1 week. 2nd week I stepped down to the step 2 patch since I was so wired. I've been on the step 2 for 2 weeks now and plan to stay on it another 2 weeks. Will I ever be able to get off the patch???
Three weeks, 5 hours, 4 minutes and 6 seconds. 636 cigarettes not smoked, saving $82.72. Life saved: 2 days, 5 hours, 0 minutes.

back to "normal" after two weeks off. still smokefree. Barby, as long as you're not smoking, don't stress out on wearing the patch. This is a tough addiction and using ANYTHING is worth beating the beast!

Hello again. I posted prematurely, early last week, but my quit date was actually January 1st. I was trying to avoid the pressure of that date, but it is what it is.
I remember this routine, and how much it helped, the weekly signing in. Happy New Year! Actually stayed home with a horrible cold. My body's way of reminding me of the hell I put it through when I started smoking again.
