I think it's important to show just *who* is boss in this deal, and it's NOT some DUMB, STUPID, FILTHY, PESTICIDE-DRENCHED leaves wrapped in paper.........every opportunity, every time.
Be ACTIVE in your own de-programming.
Stomp on butts as you walk down the street, saying “Take THAT, you piece of dirt!”
Refuse to handle the filthy things, for anybody, for any reason.
Yell “BOOOOOOO”, everytime you see an cigarette advertisement displayed.
Say (to yourself, gratefully), “Thank God I don’t have to do that anymore.” every time you see someone huddled outside getting their fix..”
Say aloud, “Wheee!” when you look at your meter!
Dance a few steps e-v-e-r-y day in celebration, putting an imaginary rose between your teeth, clatter your castanets, and click your heels, swirl around the office, house.....
Keep your eyes on the prize,
Roadkill as3 - 2/99

A while ago my guy and I booked a flight and room in Playa Del Carmen for Jan. When he booked he asked me if we should get a smoking room (he does not smoke). I said, "No," that I hoped to be smoke-free by then. It thrills me that I won't have to change to a smoking room, or go outside to suck on the cigs. Even more so, it tickles me that unlike the last time I flew to Hawaii, I won't be Jonesing while in-flight. This is sooooooo cool! Yes, I am celebrating. Tomorrow marks two weeks of being free of cigarettes.

Yep Karen (Teiger), you do have to say it out loud, and proudly. Just kidding. But heck, why not. You're proud to be smoke free. Let everyone know. Who cares what strangers think. All three of you Karen/Karyn's are doing great. You all have such great attitudes.
