No big celebrations. In fact, these anniversaries are much like cigarettes themselves: forgotten. One realizes the anniversary has passed and has to take a brief moment to smile in victory.
Quiting isn't just a starting point on the road, it IS the road. I encourage any smoker who doesn't like the cobblestone they walk to choose the path that they know they should travel. There are tripfalls, scraped knees and hard scrabble to climb over. But this path is well worth it. The mountains are well behind me and the landscape of the plaines unfolds before me. The clouds above are not of my own creation and move about with the same wind that is against my back.
Thank you everyone!

Hey Don I wanted to put on the lord of the rings soundtrack as i read your post. You know the one when they are showing the landscape and riding their horses across the plains.... the same one they play on sunny days in the shire. yeah....it's a good feeling to be on the road of smobriety! Thanks for hanging around and sharing your wisdom with all of us. You are appreciated
