As a member of the old just for U board,I had to stop by to say I made it to 3 years smoke free! Quitting was the very best thing I've ever done for myself and I can hardly imagine now the horrible feeling of being trapped by nicotine that I used to have. I never thought I'd make it and the first year was tough but now I rarely think about smoking and when I see someone light up it looks really strange and unnatural. Getting through the first few months without cigarettes was largely down to the help of all the great people on this board and I thank you all again from the bottom of my heart. To anyone just beginning on the journey, hey, if I can do it then you can and three years passes by in a flash and then suddenly you find that you really are non smoker. What a great feeling! Keep the quit everyone.

Sandie, good going. And yes, a smoker with that white stick in his mouth is obscene. Hope you have many, many more enjoyable years....smoke free.
Oh, if you want some more youngsters around the house, I'll loan you a few of my grand children. That sould cure your thoughts.

3 Years, Wow!
Time certainly flies eh? One of the benefits of hanging around here is watching those numbers climb...days...weeks...months...years. Heck if we stay around long enough we may begin to see decades!
Yes Sandie...pat yourself on your back, raise your glass and toast yourself. You, took on the challenge. You tilled the field, planted the crop, worked the farmland and now reap the fruits of your labor.
Trapped by nicotine, you are no longer. Be vigil of your Quit. Never let the beast seduce you ever again!
