..I am so relieved that I am not dragged by an inner beast to stand in the blowing sleet\rain\snow mixture just to get my hourly fix.

;)Amen to that Don. I just put my dogs outside and it is 22 above and it snowed last night and it is windy windy windy. How nice that I don't have to fight that on every break at work now or go outside for my fix while eating at a restaurant.

Today was my day to volunteer at the hospital and I saw the nurses, orderlies, tech's. etc. run outside to smoke. They couldn't get their cigarettes lit because the wind was so bad . Sure glad I'm not them anymore.

Ah, Eastern NC, a snowy day in January is our yearly "blizzard". Well, sometimes a little bit of sleet, or ice. But then, cigarettes don't fare well during a rainstorm either.
Even if I lived in Havana, I wouldn't smoke. Just chew toothpicks.

Ann.......I remember trying despirately with the wind blowing to light my cigarette outside the hospital and really cursing sometimes about it. Glad I don't have to worry about that anymore.
