I was suffering from pneumonia...did not know it yet.....but went a little later and saw a doctor who told me that because I was a smoker......it would take longer to get rid of the pneumonia. I was on an inhaler, Albuterol, and Xithromax (sp?) for 5 days. It still took awhile to get rid of it and the only real relief I had was when I took a hit off the inhaler, which never lasts forever either.

I am so glad that a year later I am not smoking and not having to inhale medicine to be able to breathe and feel my lungs clearing.

Ahhhhhhhhhh yes, I just got back a bit ago from a nice walk and could actually smell the fresh air and feel it going into my lungs........and no crackling down there.....woooohoooo!! Thanks for being here gang.

I loved it when my sense of smell returned, well, most of the time. I didn't realize what I was missing. Enjoy the sensation Karen.

My smell is coming along little by little.......some things I did not need to smell LOL! But it is all good as at least I can smell the good things now.

My smell came back little by little but it was the very subtle things I have noticed the most. It was tough to smell the smoke from the chimneys when I was smoking like a chimney! It is so worth it, isn't it?
