I will start out today and check in with you all. I am still smoke free and kicking ash and intend to stay that way.
Let us all remember those who went before us on that day on September 11, five years ago. May the families they left behind be blessed as they go on with their lives.
Have a great week everyone.
Hugs,
Karen

Five years ago today I was sitting here checking my e-mails when I heard some alarming voices on the TV going in the background. I watched in horror what transpired and I hope to God we never have to watch or go through something like that again. Praying for all those who were lost to us on this day and all those fighting to keep us free.
Still smoke free from Jan. 20, 2000

A day we remember today, a day some will remember for the rest of their lives. Pains of the world towers, New Orleans, wars ... I hope a disaster has never entered your life, but if so, may the pain be quickly repaired.

Greetings and salutations!
I can see there is an unmentioned question attached to this thread ala "where were you when JFK got shot?" in regards to the date mentioned in the title.
5 years ago I was smokeless and attending my son's 1st day of pre-school with all of us adults trying to keep the reality of the day from affecting the kids. The Girl was a little past 2 months old. Certainly a date to ponder the future against.

We are back on the dusty well travelled road Gary and I.
September 11, 2001 We sat glued to the TV watching the news unravel all day and more...it was a day that we will never forget. ...it was the day that made me realize that I knew nothing at all...that what one believes is not really what is...that the world can change in a heartbeat...
peace... freedom... safety...
are just words.
