Great weekend weather. Preparing the landscape for the Fall to Winter. Herding fish (caught one so far) from the pond to the fish tank. 'Winterized' boat in the garage. Today we install the window inserts in the screen room and keep things dry and somewhat warmer in there.
Gas was 2.149 this morning. As I'm pumping I notice the big Marlboro carton sign...$31.49. Funny how I never really notice those signs anymore, and yet they're at just about every gas station.
Happy b-day to a few folks last week...I think I saw Slim and Jimpops and Colleen flash by my viewscreen.

Here!
Leaves have begun to sprinkle the bike paths....it's cool to listen to them crunch under the tires. Lots of critters making preparations for the winter....so another summer has come to an end. That's ok....I'll still be out on the paths and looking forward to the winter.

Yesterday and today were beautiful fall days with mild temperatures and a big bright blue sky with lots of sun. Still loving my smoke free life.

Great time of the year. Turning cooler friday making it even greater.
Getting mentally tougher every day. Been well over a year without any full-time work. You know what? Does't bother me getting my butt kicked with responces like "you're sooooooo ooooooold" "you need experience to be able to do line work", "but you're diabetic" "why not retire and let someone younger have a chance".
I've felt disappointment, depression, frustration ... but since I've conquered the urge to smoke, I've not been very taken over by other mindbenders. I feel good, strong, vibrant and there's nothing going to take that away from me.
Quitting smoking may be the only nice statement concerning cigarettes!

Hugs to you Jim!
Yes, I am here, late but here. I lost my Internet last Saturday due to finances but have it back now so am reporting for duty late. I am still smoke free however and have had a long week at work and ready for two days off after today. Have a great weekend everyone!
