Good day all.
I can say that now. Last week at Roll Call I had mentioned sick kids. The Girl took a turn for the worse and had to be hospitalized last week for an infection causing us quite a bit of worry. She missed Halloween. Fortunately for The Boy, a friend took him trick-or-treating while The Wife and I spent time at the hospital. All kids are well now and today The Girl returns to school. Unfortunately, The Wife...having spent many sleepless nites in a bedside chair caught a small bug. She was feeling a bit under the weather this weekend, but hope that Monday brings health for all.
About the only time a slight thought of smoking came was when I was arguing with a pharmacy over wrong perscriptions and inaccurate dosages (which might have attributed to her being in the hospital to begin with). I wanted to light up not to smoke personally, but to blow smoke across the counter to get my anger across.

Don sorry to hear about your daughter being sick. Glad she is on the mend. Hope the boy shares some of his candy with her.
And glad you didn't smoke . I can relate to the feeling though. I had a colonscopy done a few months ago. And the polyp they removed they didn't have enough to test it. They didn't get it all out of the tube.(grrrrr) I was sooooo mad cause they didn't know if it was cancerous or not.(prayin it wasn't) I was worried because I just had a lesion removed in Feb that had cancer cells in it. Now I have to pay hospital bill of 2,800.00 and 1,800.00 to the dr. Oh well at least I am still smokefree. ; ;D Two years, nine months, four weeks, two days, 4 hours, 29 minutes and 2 seconds. 41367 cigarettes not smoked, saving $8,976.38. Life saved: 20 weeks, 3 days, 15 hours, 15 minutes. Roger: Four years, ten months, two weeks, five days, 1 hour, 59 minutes and 7 seconds. 71363 cigarettes not smoked, saving $15,485.48. Oh my...what a week for you, Don and Pat. I glad your daughter is on the mend, Don, and will say some prayers for your nephew for sure Pat! I work in a hospital as a central and sterile processing aide and am on all the floors delivering equipment and supplies and such and also linens and get a chance to go on the Burn/ICU unit everyday and it breaks my heart when I see a child on there. They usually are on there for burns, not open heart surgery, but the pain of seeing them there is heartbreaking nonetheless! Or I will see a kid or teenager on the Rehab Unit after a car accident or something and in a wheelchair with a halo on and not knowing who they are. Boy, I definitely walk off there feeling grateful for my health. I cannot imagine what your family is going through with the nephew having to have open heart surgery at 2 years of age Pat! Hugs and love!
I am still smoke free and kicking ash and it actually was about 55 here yesterday I believe in Minnesota. It cooled off again today and is supposed to be around 30 this weekend. Yuck! Oh well, at least I can breathe in the clean and crisp air now!
Karen

Well, better late than never. Checking in from the Wet Coast - big storm - they are calling it the Pineapple Express (from Hawaii) - the Pacific Northwest is flooded. One fatality in Washington. We are so far just flooded. But it's dry right now.
Sorry to hear about Don's little girl and Pat's nephew. My nephew had open heart surgery when he was 2 as well. He had a hole in his heart. It went very well. I send my prayers to you and your nephew that the surgery goes well and he grows big and strong!
Still smoke free - six month anniversary coming up soon. Yay! Have a great weekend everyone!

Gee, here I am late and it sounds like it's time for most to be mended. Don, sometimes it hurts papa more than kids when illness occurs. Hope you're doing much better.
Pat, any more on the operation? I'm praying for the best.
No smoking needs here. Eating yes! I've said before. the F___ word in my house means FOOD!!!
