I generally wasted about 10 minutes smoking a cigarette. I haven't smoked 998 (almost my first 1,000). I haven't wasted 166 hours! ;D
On top of that, if a cigarette has about 2" of tobacco to burn (not counting filters, of course!) I haven't smoked 166 feet of tobacco.
Hmmmm. Dot

That's great Dot. You seem much more relaxed with this quit. Do you think it's the Chantix? Whatever it is, you're doing great.

It is always amazing to look back and see how many cigarettes you have not smoked, how much time you really have gained for other actions and how much money you had extra to do something else with. These are all measureable and tangible to our minds.
Just part of the many benefits of quitting. These are best viewed in hindsight. Stay Quit!

Right on! One of the benefits is the money saved and that is really the least of it - the health benefits being number 1 - but I am wearing this fabulous jean jacket right now which is hand made - in white denim with studs on it and really fabulous - it feels like a quilt inside - soft and cotton - really a unique thing - but it cost $300 - which is one month's cost of smoking in Vancouver, Canada costs ($9.00/pack). And I wouldn't have been too keen on getting anything white either what with the nicotine stains etc. - So there you have it - the benefits just keep piling up - day after day - it is so wonderful being free of the demon weed.
