It's usually very quiet here on the weekends, but I'll be sure to check in, so let us know how things are going. Sometimes it's a big help just to sit here and ramble!

Hi Dot, I'm doing ok. Actually I feel kind of sck to my stomach today. So that is helping not want to smoke. I went grocery shoppiong and now I;m going to buy a new purse. Tonight I';m eating, studying states and capitals with my 8 year old then bed. I'm thinking if I sleep I can't smoke. I hope everyone's day is going good. Have a great Sunday everyone. Cindy

Your on to something Cindy!
I know you can't sleep the days away...but do sleep whenever you can ...I know i did....."you can't smoke when your sleeping" is a wise statement! :-) I slept as aften as I could in the first 3 days when the nicotine is leaving the body and the beast is calling ALOT. Smoking is not an option anymore Cindy...find other ways to cope...One day you will jump up and down and scream "I did it" KTQ _slim

Thanks everyone for all the support. I work part time so I have been working all day. Night I do all the stuff with the kids and by 9 o'clock I'm laying down. (My little one goes to bed at 9).I watch tv till I fall asleep. The pills seem to be working. I still have cravings. I think I will go by some of those commit lozengers. Just till help this first week or so. My husband has not quit. He is not even trying. I told him don't take any more pills if you are not going to try. Then instead of refilling my script and paying I can take his. I told him he has to smoke outside too. I'm kind of crabby today. I feel on edge. I hope everyone has a good day, Cindy

Cindy, First off I do hope your feeling better. I always have a tough time sleeping when i have a sinus infection or more likely a sinus headache. So do take care of yourself. In your first thread i mentioned how many times one spouse of the other can have a slip and that is why you must quit for yourself....be the example. AFter all, quitting isn't really giving up anything is it...you are actually gaining your freedom!!! not to mention your engaging a healthier lifestyle, you are spending more quality time with your kids...instead of running out for a fix.
Hubby should smoke outside out of respect for you quit. You tell him cindy and you keep the quit. We are with you all the way! Sleep well _slim

Thanks Slim. I just hope I feel less crabby and on edge today. Yesterday I really felt miserble. I have been eating jelly beans whenever I have the urge to smoke. Honestly these pills seem great. I only have the craving in the morning (Bad in the morning, I want a cigarette with my coffee) and after eating. Where do you live in Michigan? I live in Sterling Heights. I have tomnorrow off. I plan on doing some stuff for me. Getting my nails done. Walking around the mall. Going to starbucks. I hope everyone has a good day. Cindy

Cindy, do you have a program for stats? Some people like to see how much progress there making and it makes them feel goooood! One program is here: www.silkquit.org/sqmmiv/meter.aspxEach day that you get thru that Morning craving (that was the tough for me as well) then you get stronger. Do change up your routine as much as you can. It helps. Show that Hubby of yours that as you reach milestones you will be rewarding yourself....you have to be a tad bit selfish in the beginning!
