Here's a small peek into a personal matter of mine....
Had some tests for my recent: “out of sorts”.
I’m in wait mode right now, waiting to see the doc and discuss the results of the tests I had last week. In particular, I’m really interested in the results of the CAT scan of my head. People always kid ya to have your head examined. I’ve had my head examined before and as before you go thru that little period of worrying about worst case scenarios. I’m sure my blood-work will show another likely (long-suspected) candidate, but still, I hate to ponder the possibility of it really being ‘in my head’.
You see, we all come to this place to seek betterment of our lives. Granted, primarily we seek to confront the smoking demon here, but we also deal with other issues. Life is multi-faceted after all.
Bringing it back to smoking...I think I can speak for many, if not all, that we would not like to find ourselves in the doctor’s office with the stethoscope firmly placed upon us in search of the source of a mystery rattle. Or waiting to hear the results of a chest x-ray that you know could change your life.
Hey, it was good to tell the doc how long it's been since I smoked a cigarette. I swear all doctors love to hear quitters recite their quitdate.
Perhaps it is something and perhaps it is nothing. One thing for sure, I can scratch lung cancer off the list! To which I certainly credit stopping that crazy addiction. I have great empathy for those who wonder about their health. Those lurkers right now reading this who wonder about that cough they have. Oh yeah, I know that feeling of uncertainty.
Again, coming here at Smokebusters is a commitment to better health. A better quality of life. You can deny things up until a certain breaking point. At that point you can decide to do something about it. And here we are at Smokebusters (J4U)-doing something about ourselves...and doing it for the better!
