Don't stay away too long, jump right back on the no smoking wagon as fast as you can.

Hi Mary sounds to me that you smoked a few cig's and now the fight is over....I know it's easier to smoke than stay in the fight....believe me i have been there a few times. The KEY is to get back in the fight quickly, or you will be back to pack in half day in no time. What will that do for you.....nothing good!!! Hey, i understand this isn't easy...i just encourage you to come back soon..don't wait to long. I would rather have an occassional urge to smoke than a constant desire to quit.

Who says you have to leave?? I know of no rule written here that says you have to be smokeless to come here.
Have you given up, quitting, completely?
Analyze your actions, did you slip or did you give up? Slips happen. The best course of action after a slip is to dust off and get right back on track again. Sorry if I sound sharp, I don't mean to. It just sounds like you are giving up when it really just might be a slip. No one here will berate you for that!
If you want to be a smoker...smoke. But if you want to be a non-smoker, then come right back! Find YOUR way Mary. btw...you're always welcome here!!

Mary Don't leave. I relapsed different times and everyone let me come back and hang around. I kept reading and that helped alot. I consider myself an ole timer and I keep trying. someone I noticed hasn't been on here and I enjoyed reading what he says is "Bubba". I also enjoy reading what Ann says. Basically everyone here has been a great help to me and I thank all of them.

Somewhere in the back of our minds we think that smoking will make everything all right. Smoking will make the bad all go away. Smoking makes everything normal again. It's that cigarette romance that we dream of. Prince Charming wrapped in paper.
It's all a big delusion. Fiction. Fantasy. The problems of the world will still be waiting for you after the butt smolders. The cigarette did nothing to fix them.
Slips happen. Sometimes that voice is too tempting. Slips can also makes us feel guilty, unworthy and a failure. Slips are a self-learning experience. They are helpful in diagnosing what our triggers are. Learn from the slip. Then get right back on the quitter path. Too much time spent off the path will soon suck you right back into smoking a pack and full relapse.
Learn & live. Welcome back Mary!
