I post this with a reverence to Slim's recent loss. But, life must go on and change is a part of life. With that said, I present Cheyenne and new housemate Dakota(Cody): Getting a puppy again scares me a bit, but in 6 short months I should be able to look back at this point and rattle off all that has improved. Sorta like Quitting, eh? We make a change in life, commit to that change and watch how our lives evolve. So far the pup likes to do his business in the attached screen room on the deck. I hope by 6 months we'll get him to do it further out in the yard.

Cute puppy...is it a Lab or Golden? We are shopping for our next family member, I know it won't be long.... everyone in the house is having dog withdrawals.....we are going to need a support group soon. :-)
Good luck to you guys as you mold that little puppy into a fine family dog!

I'm glad to hear that Slim. My son told me he gave me the puppy cause he thought it would help me get over losing the other 2 dogs. It does help. You never forget the ones you lose but it does ease it somewhat. I don't know about how others handle it but I cry everytime I lose a dog.

Ahhh, thanks for sharing Don. What a darling. Dakota (Cody) - both are fabulous names - he looks like a healthy good natured intelligent being, great addition to your fabulous family.
