Thanks guys for the well-wishes.
The Wife is going to heal, albeit slowly.
She had vein surgery recently in the hope of relieving circulatory-related pain, swelling and brusing.
Her surgeon has a lousy bed-side manner and has demonstrated a remarkable ability to vocally insist (at least 3-4 times by my count) that all conversation be one-way...from her to us, not the other way around.
The day I rushed my wife to the ER, she'd just called her surgeon complaining of intense pain, trouble breathing, rapid heartrate, feeling weak and lightheaded. The surgeon berated my wife on the phone for calling, telling her that she is a pest and never had a patient complain so much (she'd called her 2 days before about her worsening recovery)...that she was fine and if she really felt that bad then she should go to the emergency room. At the ER we found she had a clot.
We met the surgeon aka Ms. Wonderful again yesterday for a follow-up scan to view the progress of the clot. Since it hasn't grown in a week the prognosis is that it should reduce itself over time. Don't call us again.
The Wife and I are pondering over when and who to file a complaint with, when she's better and able to stand upright.
If Ms. Wonderful were to become afflicted with a flesh-eating virus....I'd be cheering for the virus.

It is sad when surgeons put themselves in a place where you cannot help but dislike them for there rude arrogant manners. What ever happened to accually caring for your patients and do unto others as you would do unto yourself?? hmmmmm
Anyways Don, Please let your wife know we are pulling for her and praying for a speedier recovery!

That is so disgusting, Don. Were it me, I'd sure spread the word about this person....a loss of some of her business and reputation would at least be sweet revenge. I always say "dont' get mad, just get even"/
Speaking of surgeons, may daughter had surgery yesterday afternoon. Her doctor actually came in the room beforehand and said a prayer. I was floored.

That really sucks Don. The last thing you need when your health is failing is to be kicked when you're down. I hope Ms. Wonderful soon gets a taste of her own "medicine." Best wishes to your wife and hope she doesn't suffer too much now.

Don, you have way more restraint than I'll every have. "Wonder mouth" here would have blasted the B!*ch, then filed a formal complaint with the hospital. Also would have filed a complaint with the AMA. And that's just for starters. Bottom line though is that I hope Mrs. Don has a really speedy recovery.

;D glad The Wife is feeling a tad better...get her in the recovery lane and floor it Don! JP p.s. Go For It...complain to anyone who will listen...they should have brush up classes for Doctors...a lot of them tend to mental burp on bedside manner...never mind...just plain old human manner and compassion.

I hope "the wife" heals nicely and that you both complain to every institution that the female dawg doctor comes in contact with. Her behaviour was out of line, unprofessional and deserving of a lot more than a slap on the hand. I admire your restraint.

Unfortunately a lot of 'surgeon's' have that "GOD" attitude, they do the cutting and saving of lives therefore they are "GOD"! Do not hesitate to report her to the AMA in your state and try to see if there is another surgeon in your area that has a better attitude.
Sending a prayer and good thoughts your wife's way hoping that recovery is short and pain free.

Wow Don, I've been away from the board for a few days and didn't know this was going on. Hope Mrs. Don gets to feeling better real soon. That has got to be a scary situation with the blood clot. That dr. had no right to tell her she was a pest. She should be fired.
Get well soon Mrs. Don!
