Good morning all you wonderful creatures. It's a new week being smokeless! I'm getting near my two year anniversary and it gives me pause. Wow. What a wonderful journey it's been. Anyone out there thinking of quitting, I urge you. Don't wait. It's so great.

Good morning! I couldn't agree with you more, Flo. I never regreted quitting, only not quitting sooner. There's never a perfect time to quit. You just have to take that leap before you're ready and then the emotion follows.

I don't regret quitting cigarettes but I do regret when I go outside to "let off some steam" .... all I can do is holler at birds, kick the mower and chew gum. I'd rather stay quit and stay inside and play with the PC. Well, there is golf ......

I"m here too. At six months, I'm still rather ambivilent about quitting. I'm proud of every day, but sometimes wonder if it's worth the trouble. (and it is still TROUBLE!) It's nice to go places without worrying about can I or can't I smoke, and of course the extra money is so good. But I'm still soooo dragged out all the time...don't want to do anything but eat and sleep and read. I push myself to the gym 3 or 4 days a week. Dot

I am here! :0)
Dot, If you and i were having coffee engaged in conversation about living life without the smoking....I would say to you that this process takes time....and after smoking for HOW many years? it may take more time than you think....i know for me it was a good year before i even felt somewhat normal. Give it some time and keep a positive attitude.. At the end of the day...quitting is the right decision!@! a Good physical would be a bad ideal. Can't hurt.

I am here!!! Two weeks gone and very very happy in my decision to quit. My son had his 1st Communion on Saturday and we had 50 plus over to our house to celebrate. I must say it was a little rough, there were a few smokers, so it was a little diffiicult but not too bad, they stayed out in the tent LOL. Of course I was way too busy running around with my head cut off to have time anyway. Dot stay in there girl, I am sure as everyone says it may take up to a year for you to feel like yourself. Karyn 2 weeks one day

Late, but here. Yes, yes, yes! Quitting is worth every miserable minute. Just remember the struggles, and say to yourself "I sure don't want to have to go through that, ever again!" Keep the Quit!!

Here's a little pep talk for you new quitters. I hope it helps. Hang in there and remember. Do ANYTHING -just don't smoke! STAY IN THE GAME IF YOU WANT TO WIN The more you try, the greater your chance of succeeding. The law of averages is on your side. Taking a risk is often your first necessary step toward success. If you don't take some risks, you won't get the chance to succeed. While you are trying, you are winning. Never get discouraged. Every wrong attempt is another step forward. People that make no mistakes usually don't make anything. Make up your mind not merely to overcome a thousand obstacles, but to win in spite of a thousand defeats. Your mistakes are stepping stones to success and your installment payments to victory. You can't be a winner and be afraid to lose. Copyright 2008 www.yourdailymotivation.com

Appearently the theme park has more than one ride as it now appears they have a 'tilt-a-whirl' too.
Things appear stable enough for me to travel for my company's annual trade show.
I'm making reservations for that lobotomy I've always wanted.
Ha ha, a cigarette! Like THAT will fix anything.

Hello everyone. I was just looking at the date when the roll call for this week was started and it was 20 years ago on April 28 that my mother died of lung cancer. Just one more reason to stay quit, because even though there are many ways I would have loved to be like her when I was growing up, dying of lung cancer was not one of them. Rest In Peace dear mother! Have a great week everyone...sorry I have been so late in these roll calls but have been busy. Karen I have been quit for 2 Years, 7 Months, 3 Weeks, 3 Days, 11 hours, 22 minutes and 10 seconds/967 days. I have not smoked 38,698 cigarettes. I have saved $7,739.78. I have saved 4 Months, 1 Week, 5 Days, 8 hours and 50 minutes of life. My quit date is 9/8/2005 9:00 PM.
