I'm really touched. Thank you everyone. Yes, it was my TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY on May 18. Interesting. I was at home, doing a massive spring cleaning and I talked with two people who were major in my smoking life - my mother and my boyfriend of 20 years (now just a good friend) - both of whom never gave in and never said it was ok for me to smoke - and I happened to speak on the phone with both of them and remembered it was May 18 and shared it with them and that was the greatest gift - to hear how pleased and amazed they were - and I guess that was my gift that day. It really is so great to not be smoking in so many ways - health being the first and most important - but don't discount those people who put up with you when you smoked or even rejected you when you smoked - that hurt a lot didn't it? It's hard to believe when you smoked that it could be such a big deal to others but when you quit, you see.
I feel so grateful and closer to God...thanks everyone for all your support. You are wonderful. God bless you!
