Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Summer is now in full swing over in this corner of the world and it's about time but now that it's here, I like it. I resisted for awhile, holding on to the comfort of winter with movies, stews, warm blankets but I'm getting into the summer now. I still get the odd memories or moments when I would have had a cigarette and they seem to be quite distinct memories or urges. Strange but not frightening. Just strange. It reminds me that I cannot take my quit for granted. I must re-commit to it all the time. Here are some out of this world photos (pardon the pun) from National Geographic of outer space. Amazing. science.nationalgeographic.com/science/photos/hubble-images-gallery.htmlHave a great week everyone! No smoking!

We finally got around to some much needed yard work with the sun out most of the weekend. I still find myself winded sometimes but not as much as I was when I was still smoking.

Although it's been very hot here in NC, we are finally getting some much needed rain off and on. My grass was like straw, but it's finally getting green again. I got my first tomato from my 4 plants today!
Constantly eating...getting fat as a cow.

Flo, I like the cool & colder weather. Too bad tomatos & melons don't grow in January around my house.
Hi Ann & Dot. Glad the calling outdoors is your sort of thing. It is fun to enjoy the sun. A little to humid & hot at this time for my golf game but alas, it's 6 weeks or so till September. I'm polishing my clubs.

Still here and very smoke free. Hubby had a partial knee replacement surgery yesterday and one thing he said in the hospital was that he was so glad he is smoke free!! I am very proud of him and very happy and grateful for myself too.
