I guess the good thoughts and prayers helped because wife's surgery went well (with a few blips) but no infections (so far) and the benign thing removed. The only remaining concerns now are her 3~4 week cough and her blood thinning levels all goofed up. Twice daily lovenox injections and coumadin dose adjustments for the next month, but hopefully done with it all by the end of Sept.
Meanwhile, The Boy's condition swings like a pendulum. Swinging back to the bad side this weekend but that may be due to the stress of school starting soon and a party he is going to today with friends he won't see no more as they go off to a different school (he was in a mixed-grade class last year).
The old dog is getting really really old and falls down daily. There's always a question mark with her. We've gotten 10+ years since she first got sick at age 2 and went thru many times when we thought the end was near. This time is only different in that I know the clock has to run out eventually. And again she may surprise us with another six months more.
Right now The Girl, young Dog and I seem to be holding it together, tho' it's hard to tell the former two apart sometimes as they are often found sleeping together on the floor in my room at night.
Thanks again for all the well wishes and I hope I didn't jinx myself in posting good news for a change.
