Hello Ros... I hope the quit is going well. That first week is hell, no getting around it. But you must be grateful for each minute or hour you stay smoke free. And if you get away for an hour, just try to double that and you'll have two.
Make as many changes in your routine as you can...for instance, eat in a different room, sit out instead of in, take up a new hobby or revive an old one, learn to knit or play the guitar. Crossword or jigsaw puzzles are good, so is a deck of card and solitaire.
Most of all, be proud of yourself. Many millions have quit, so why not you and I?
I'm on several times a day...keep me posted.

I have been quit for 3 Years, 2 Months, 6 Days, 18 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds/1,163 days. I have not smoked 46,551 cigarettes. I have saved $9,310.33. I have saved 11 Months, 3 Weeks, 14 hours and 21 minutes of life. My quit date is 9/8/2005 9:00 PM.
