I'm not sure that I want to shine Slim, let alone rise. I just want to hibernate until the Spring thaw. Yep, bears have it right. Eat 'til you're fat and sleep away winter waking up thin and warm.

Good morning everyone! We seem to have lost our gentle climate and gotten some Arctic thing going on here. Snow and chilly winds happening...but it is sunny out today - black ice though - of course, nothing as bad as the east coast so we can't complain...
I've pretty much done all my Christmas shopping and Christmas cards now. Christmas Eve at the folks and Christmas Day all to myself...my ex will be coming over sometime during the holidays for dinner. I'm taking the two weeks off, starting this coming Monday and back Jan 2 or so...ahhhhh, love those winter holidays at home for some reason...and now that I don't smoke, I don't need to keep the doors/windows open to get rid of the smoke!

I"m here, sort of......
It's been a very stressful time for my family lately, but we survive.
Going to finish shopping tomorrow. I've always done Christmas eve buffet for my kids, grands, and greatgrands, so that's probably going to be the deal. My oldest son has pretty much taken over the "Big" family things.....Bless his heart!

We got together yesterday with our friends minus the kids. It started out with little kids and teens now they are gone and we still get together to talk and eat. Nice to catch up with everyone. I hosted this year and didn't overdo like I normally do with the food. Just enough for the hubby to take to work to share. On Christmas eve we do early children's Mass at 4 then we come to my house for dinner and gifts. They spend Christmas day with her parents so that works out for all involved. Still quit even with all the cooking going on. Jan. 20, 2000

We are going to have my side of the family for Christmas Eve and then celebrate Christmas with my husband's side of the family as his mom is going out East to be with his sister and husband for Christmas. I am ready for a new year though. Holidays are fun but stressful at the same time. New Years means a fresh start to me...always has.
Smoke free and grateful.
