Weekend was a blur of painting, visiting, egg coloring, egg hiding and eating. My tummy was paying the price all last night.
Once this rain clears out we're expecting some wonderful temps around my area. We already have some flowers blooming.
No urge to smoke, but I do feel pity for smokers with the recent tax increases on cigarettes. Smokers, they're gonna keep on taxing it until you have no money nor health left. Time to get off those cigs and kick the addiction to the curb.

Whew! I took last Thursday off, making it a nice 5 day stretch, but came back to the office to find chaos! So busy yesterday, I didn't even think to check in! But I'm here today. Last Wednesday, I ended up working until 8 that night but since I've quit smoking, and started eating right and exercising, I was fresh as a daisy at 8:00 pm. In fact, the next day, I chilled all day but did my income taxes and did them in one shot. That mental zen is all due to my not smoking. It really does calm one.
We ended up having rain all weekend but not as heavy as anticipated and some sun managed to come up. I stayed around the home and did some spring cleaning and relaxed. Had dinner with the family on Easter Sunday. All that would not happen had I been smoking. I would have been stressed and restless. Instead, calm, totally there, enjoying every minute with the family. Doesn't get much better.
Today, just as busy as yesterday. The sun is out now (of course, we're back at work) and beautiful out. This is when BC shines.

I am late and I think I even missed a week here. Sorry about that. The good news is, we have been having better weather and I started biking to work again. I started a week ago yesterday and it was great. I take the lake walk part of the way to and from work and yesterday there were people out like crazy. Walkers, runners, roller bladers, bikers, etc. It was heaven.
I would not be doing this if I were smoking still. Took a few days to find my legs again on the bike as it was as I had not biked to work since December and only had 3 runs before starting to ride to work again this season. I love it though. It is great exercise and a great way to see things up close that you miss if you are driving or even a passenger in a car.
Soooooooooooo....gratefully smoke free still and looking for many days, months, and years to stay that way.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Karen
Day 1,317 smoke free!
