I am hoping that everyone had a great weekend and stayed smoke free. It's the start of a humid week for us in northern Ohio, morning walks are getting to be a drag literally.

Long weekend of good summer fun. I'm liking July so far...altho' I'm spending a bit much. Even a trip to the movies will soak about 50 buck with popcorn and such. Winter can take its time however.

Here! We are gong into a heat wave over at this end - 80s - some fires breaking out because we have not seen much rain. My place is more like 90! But I had a few days off last week and got a chance to get used to it. Back at work today and feeling a bit dizzy from the heat. Oh well. I'm not complaining. I'm loving it now. It's certainly much nicer without smoking.

It's all good in the hood. Come to Michigan...your trip begins at Michigan.org :-) Must hear that commercial ten times a day on the radio.

We've had a cool front move through, and stay awhile! Instead of 115 to 118 in the afternoons, it is only getting in the high 90's each day. Actually had a friend die from heat stroke last week. Pretty scary. Hope everyone is in a smooth phase of keeping the quit. So proud of you, Dot, for never giving up.

Hi SueZ! Haven't seen you around here lately. Nine years quit. Pretty smooth yourself if you ask me. Yes, I too am feeling pretty smooth without smoking. I notice smokers around me and how "unsmooth" they are. Smokers were such a large part of my life for so long and sometimes I notice the absence of it but I don't regret it for one single second. Love not smoking.
I went for my eye exam last week while I was off and he was so very pleased with my results. Apparently, my vision has improved since the last exam three years ago. My stigmatism has improved. I credit it all to my quitting smoking and the change in life style that brought about - the healthy eating, the daily exercising and the oxygen supply. I think my work performance has improved greatly as well because I am so much more "smoother" now that I don't smoke. My concentration is excellent and I don't get tense and throw off my game now. Ahhh, the benefits of not smoking are so numerous. All you lurkers out there, thinking of quitting, do it - and do it now. Why wait any longer to be happy!
