still hot & humid here.
Saw a pic on the net of that lighthouse & walk way in dead winter. Looked like the north pole! Is Flushing near Detroit, Slim? Some of my son's in-laws are from there.

Checking in! Thanks Slim for sharing your pics. The east coast has the most romantic places doesn't it?
We are in the middle of a heat wave over here on the west coast. It must be 90 in my place alone, but I've gotten climatized now and I'm hanging in. I wouldn't want to go hiking or anything like that but I'm managing and enjoying my part of this heat wave.
Still loving not smoking and ever so grateful it's behind me.

Lake Michigan? Never heard of it. Lake St. Clair, now that's where's it at. The wife and I were kidless for about 10 hours on Sat. Went walking thru the woods batting the indigenous mosquito-bird and "antiquing" (is that a verb?). Was very, very nice! (Anyone want a couple of kids? low mileage...cheap!) I've quit smoking so long that I can't decently smoke a rack of baby-back ribs. quit: 10-27-99 (edit-spelling)

Hot and humid here, been stuck in the kitchen as the garden is doing it's thing in this heat and rain. I'm tired of seeing zucchini & green beans and coming up with ideas of how to use them. The neighbors are a good place to drop them, now they can come up with their own ideas of what to do. Got through it all smoke free though.

I am still here and smoke free and grateful! My son turned 14 years old on Monday and I am so grateful for my little man. Actually he is almost as tall as I am now so not too little anymore LOL. I am grateful that by quitting smoking and staying quit that I can be around for him for years to come.
Nice pic Slim!! Love pics of any lake!

Congratulations Karen. You are amazing. I'm sure your son feels the same way and is very relieved that you've quit smoking. Enjoy your summer!
