DECIDE AND COMMIT -------------------------- Be truly decisive by acting on your decisions. Decide what you will do and then get started on it right away. The sooner you take action the more you'll accomplish. Once you decide to do it, begin immediately.
Commitment is more than just a mental exercise. It's not a commitment until you back it up with action.
Once you have invested some effort, the goal is no longer a vague, far-away concept. You have begun to make it real.
When you start by immediately taking action, you're naturally going to continue taking action. Put momentum on your side right away, and you immediately have a powerful ally.
Make your decisions real and present in your life, and give them the energy they deserve. Act on them right away, and truly make them happen.

Indeed. It's likek the 30-70 rule isn't it? We spend 70% of our time horsing around with things that yield only 30% while if we just spent 30% of our energy on doing what we were supposed to do (like this article says), we would yield 70%. It takes more effort to procrastinate and avoid than to just get to it.
I suppose you could liken it to those who are going to quit on a certain day in the future. I find most don't keep to that date (I mean, you can't fool another smoker - or rather an ex-smoker). If you want to quit, it's like going in the pool: Just jump in and get it over with already!
Well, good luck to all those who are thinking of quitting or who just quit!
