Good morning all you quitters! My gosh, is it September already? It sounds like everyone had a great summer. I hope we have a beautiful autumn. My Dad is in the hospital. He'll be in for a week so they can assess him. It may be that he's too weak to go home and it's time to put him in a home.

No it can't be Sept already! It simply can't! It was darn chilly this morning. This year I have some money set aside to go towards a NEW snowblower, whenever they go on sale. My old one is a 30 year old hand-me-down that is missing all of its covers, guides, takes 1 hour to get started and only works on 2 inches of powdery snow.
Well wishes for your father Flo! (We all need assistance at times.)

Where did the summer go? We did not see it too much in Minnesota. Son starts high school on September 9. Cannot believe that!
I am smoke free and very grateful. Went hiking some trails this morning and am going to take my mountain bike on some this evening. Have a great week everybody!

Thanks everyone for your prayers. My Dad went through various tests this week (EEG etc.) and they found nothing. They moved him to the occupational health ward where they will exercise him and things. His doctor said he is a repeat offender. He was in last year and they fixed him up but he didn't follow through and so he's back. It's basically exercise. He doesn't so he falls into the Frail Syndrome. This is what is causing such a strain on my poor mother. It's a vicious circle. He gets depressed, she babies him, he feels better...etc. It's quite maddening. As I may have told you before, I've been so mad at my dad for a long time. Anyhow...how did you all get involved in this? I just wanted to thank you all for your concern and keep you updated. It's actually good news but we still aren't certain what the future holds. It may be that coupled with his frailness, he is getting older now and it may be time to put him in a care facility...Poor thing. He was such a vibrant adventurous character when he was young..this is part of the reason he is so depressed now...
Anyhow, neither he nor I smoke anymore. That is a major good thing.
Long weekend for us Canucks this weekend. Monday is Labour Day. Yay! Have a great smokeless weekend everyone!
