Here! What is it about the Labour Day weekend? Traffic gets heavier...the temps are noticeably cooler...I love it. I saw a young woman on the bus this morning who was wearing black herringbone tweed and it looked marvelous! I really enjoyed the day off yesterday. Went to the hospital to visit my dad. He's doing well and it was a great visit with the whole family showing up. When we all show up like that, it's a party. On the darker side, my brother was telling me that my poor dad will not be coming home this time. He will be going into a care facility. He has not told him yet and I'm not sure I want to be there. It will break my dad's heart. But he just is not strong enough to be at home. My mom is on her last legs and just cannot take it anymore. Anyhow, sorry to be such a buzz kill but thanks for being there all of you. This site is one of the best things that has happened to me in my entire life and that is because I quit smoking which is the very best thing I've ever done for myself.
Thank you for all your prayers everyone. Have a great smokeless week everyone!

Very busy this week! But otherwise all is well.
Saw that Children of Men movie that Flo once mentioned...it finally made it on the list of rentals of the mail-order-movie account we have. I like a good dark quasi-sci-fi movie. Surrogates with Bruce Willis is coming out soon too.
I hope your father took the news ok Flo. Maybe he can still visit home? Well wishes.

Hi Don. We haven't told him yet. I think we are still waiting for the completion of the assessment by the hospital. I'm saddened about it though. I'll certainly let you all know what happens next. As for visiting home, I'm not sure if that is possible but we will certainly be there all the time. Thank you for your concern.

Hello. Going good here, summer4 heat & humidy has given way to 63 degreeed mornings and 81 degree days. Great breathing weather.
Flo, I went thru much the same with my parents before they died. I kept thinking of things I should have said to them over the years but didn't. Visit him often if only to sit and hold his hand.

Thanks Jimpops. I have said it all, but you really can't say it enough to your parents can you? I'll have to let him know how lucky I consider myself for having had such a great father figure.
Carpe diem everyone.
