Good morning Ann! Merry Christmas to all and all the very best for 2010! I can't believe it is this week! Unlike last year, we are going to have seasonal norms for Christmas this year (I don't know if one can call it normal when we haven't had this for a few years but there you have it) - mild and rainy. I love the snow but it makes it absolutely impossible to get to the folks on Christmas day so I'm glad we are getting rain...in fact, it may even be sunny! Well, I am babbling now so I'll close. Got so much to do at work there is hardly enought energy or inclination to get the Christmas stuff done! But it's funny isn't it? No matter how old one gets, there is always that little twinge of excitement during this time of year. Again, Merry Christmas everyone! Stay smoke free!

I've kept my quit for over 9 years and I'm so happy I got through those first months that just about drove me nuts. I quit cold turkey...wow, what a challenge that was. When I thought I couldn't get through the cravings I just kept repeating my grandkids names over and over and then I'd realize the crave had left me for the time being. I got through it and now I'm happy to tell all of you that a year ago last October my dear daughter in law presented us with identical twin girls. Maybe if I hadn't quit when I did I wouldn't have been around for that blessing. Thanks to all of you who supported me through the bad times and the good times. Merry Christmas to all, Dee

Well congratulations Dee! Isn't that fantastic! Twin girls. And you're right about all the blessings that come with quitting smoking. It just never stops. And now you smell fabulous to the twins instead of like an ashtray. By the way, they have found that third hand smoke is actually more dangerous than second hand smoke so that ashtray smell would not only have been repulsive to the kids but dangerous to their health!
Merry Christmas Dee!

Got a quiet Christmas planned. Kids have grown too much and the Santa they once knew they know as someone else. But the "Spirit" of Santa is still much about the house and they know not to be naughty for Santa can't punish them like Mom+Dad will.
Have a Crazy Christmas to those inclined not to celebrate quietly!
