Good morning Karen! We elected to take Christmas Eve off at work this year instead of Boxing Day (which is today) and the City is sleeping, hardly a mouse is stirring. It's kind of nice. Good day to tidy up, get things done and even think! Yay! Had a wonderful Christmas. Isn't it a wonderful time of year? Let the spirit of Christmas linger throughout the year.
All doubly wonderful since I quit smoking!

A crowded, fun Christmas. 18 family members stuffed into our small house for dinner & present openings. Looked like a soccer riot!
Good to see the sons & grandchildren. Now, on to tax time and Uncle Sam's present!

I had a wonderful Christmas watching my grandchildren. They were so excited it was a miracle that they actually ate dinner. Then we had to check the map of where Santa was every half hour. Made for an interesting evening. Got through it all smoke free.

A soccer riot Pops?...that's to be expected at family gatherings...at least some of the ones I've been to in the past. But ours was subdued this year, which is a good thing.
Kids got what they wanted...eventually....we had them go on a long scavenger hunt, clues along the way, to find that they did not only get boxes of socks and underwear but also the electronic gizmos they were wishing for. Even the Dog got a few presents and he liked to help open the wrapping paper. Mom + Dad exchanged candy as we already had our present with our florida trip last month.
We had a warm spell over holiday with rain that melted a lot, but still left us with a white Christmas and then we got another 10 inches over the weekend to seal the deal on winter. Palm trees, palm trees and lizzards, yep that's what's going to get my head thru the winter.
Busy at the office and looking forward to 2010!
Happy New Year all you smokeless!
