Well another Monday has rolled around...and this one is smack in the middle of July! How time flies. It wasn't so long ago that I was cursing the snow. Got on a bicycle for the first time in...decades I think. I thought I might spread the muscle and joint pains I have around to other unused muscles. Maybe next month I'll go swimming and go for the whole body ache thing. Ah, but summer is anything but smokeless if you take my BBQ grill into consideration. Still learning the ropes on the transistion from charcoal cooking to propane. Who would've knew that I can create more smoke using propane. Ok back into the hole and mine that salt. Have a good week everyone! (10.27.99)

LOL! I leave the grilling to the hubby and let him fight the flames. I've been thinking of doing the bike thing instead of walking and not sure if it's better or worse on the knees for me. Let me know how it goes for you.

Good morning everyone! I checked in yesterday but my computer went a bit wonky and I see that my entry did not make it. Ever since that virus, it's been a bit wonky. My working programs are just fine but anything on the internet seems to be slow or wonky.
Well, the heat wave has dissipated at least and we had a mild wind storm yesterday. Today we are back to seasonal norms - thank goodness! Some years I am really into the sun and heat and other years, I'm into the winter. These past couple of years, I've been a winter person though not as bad as some who actually vomit in the heat.
Anyhow, if that's all I've got to complain about, I'm very fortunate indeed and I am very fortunate indeed. Lots to be grateful for, not least of which is being freed of cigarettes. Had a couple of urges last night for some reason, though they passed in a milisecond. Did I tell you I had that dream a while back where I was stressed and so had a cigarette...and my mom I believe it was even went so far as to buy me a package and I took it and threw it away and started my quit all over again. Thank goodness it was just a dream.

I have been having dreams also the last couple of days. I wake up in the morning and think I'm going to smoke and then I remembered that I quit a couple years ago. Now isn;t that weird? I have emphyzema and sometimes it's a struggle to breathe. Two years, five months, two weeks, four days, 22 hours, 6 minutes and 21 seconds. 18018 cigarettes not smoked, saving $4,729.62. Life saved: 8 weeks, 6 days, 13 hours, 30 minutes.

Hi countryblocs! You know, I re-read my post and yours and it may be post traumatic stress syndrome...you know, it was stressful smoking and then quitting and we are still getting over it and it comes through our dreams. A reality check. Isn't it great to be free of cigarettes? Don't take it for granted. I think the woman at work who quit about 8 months ago has gone back to smoking. I see her going out for breaks now and you know what that's about. I hope she gets back on the wagon but I'll just leave it alone. My cousin and his wife quit about 3 years ago after watching me quit and I've heard that they are back to smoking now too. I won't say anything to any of them though as no one likes a nag and they know full well what they have to do.
Well hang in there and take good care of yourself.
