Good morning everyone! Columbus Day yesterday for the US and Thanksgiving Day for us in Canada. Is Columbus Day a holiday?
Well, today isn't. Check in and let us know how you're doing! I'm doing great. Funny story. We all had Thanksgiving dinner at my Mom's on Sunday. It was the first family gathering since my dad passed away. It was great and made us thankful for all that we have and especially what a great family we have. Well, my mom has kept everything from 20 year old icing sugar to love letters from my Dad from their first year of marriage. For some reason, she had brought out a few of those letters. I was looking at them and at the bottom of the letters were little "A kiss goodnight" "Love you forever" stuff, and then....signed "Joe." I asked "Who's Joe?" and it turned out no one knew who the heck "Joe" was. My mom certainly didn't. It was quite hilariious actually...just like the TV series, Brothers and Sisters in a way...
Anyhow, we are coming along and slowing healing from the loss - and not smoking.
That not smoking has enhanced my life and my abiilty to think clearly 100 fold and made this time 100 times better than it ever could have been had I smoked - and that's a fact.
Have a great smoke-free week everyone!

Thanks for the update and the little chuckle Flo!
Still inundated with work. Back in the day I would've been smoking like a madman to deal with the stress. Now, I'm just waiting for the guys in the white coats to guide me to a serene room.
