Hiya Slim .... Not here yesterday, had a dentist appointment. It's so nice to have the teeth cleaned, doesn't take long, and the hygentist comment on how good the teeth and gums are since I quit smoking.
Our "to be a big snowstorm" turned into a dusting and a lot of freezing drizzle. A drizzle fizzle. Still cold, low 30s for highs, teens for lows. Weather is perfect for soup & sandwiches....lunch is on me!

Good morning everyone and Happy New Year! Slim, congratulations on Michigan being a smoke free state. and Pops, I love soup and sandwiches!
Had a craving the other day. It was strange...it was a strong well mildly strong one - new situation - boredom...hmmmm this cold weather is keeping me housebound and triggered a crave. Imagine smoking because you're bored...madness.
We are expecting a snow storm beginning this evening, turning to rain overnight. Don't forget, we are over the hump and the days are getting longer, the nights shorter. I already notice that the sun sets later and later each day.
I think it will be five years for me this May. Hurray! Each day gets better and better.

Well, here's old Dot dragging in. We got a pretty good snow yesterday....that makes two big ones this winter...rather unusual, and I'm hoping that's it for the winter.
OK...so it's 1-11-11, and this am, I have 11 smoke free days. It really should have been 11 years by now, but what can I say???
Happy new year, everybody.
Dot

I am sorry I have not been here for a bit but I am proud and grateful to say I am still smoke free and enjoying it. I went ice skating for the first time in 30 or 35 years this past Sunday. I only fell once in 45 minutes. It was a blast. I love not smoking because I got back into biking again and bike back and forth to work most of the year and now have started ice skating again. What a gift!!! Hugs and love to you all!
