Another week down, my kids are now out of school and practicing sleeping in....till the afternoon hours. I vaguely remember doing that once or twice After checking my meter this morning.. I had to poke myself....the meter turned over another milestone. A far cry from the days when i was praying for another week to go by....and fighting off the nicobeast every minute of every day. It really is a cool feeling that i have conquered the hardest task on my to do list!!!! 10 years later is a 'picture' that i recommend to anyone...it has been very worthwhile and I definitely like the new smokefree me 10x better than the smoker me! My thanks and gratitude to all who have graced these pages over the years. Many people that took time out of their busy day to offer a shoulder, an encouraging word, an inspiring message or a funny story! One doesn't know what good can come from a simple gester of offering a hand up! That includes all the wonderful folks from Just for U, southbeachfreinds and smokebusters...Without which, I may not have reached this wonderful milestone. Congratulations on TEN years, that is a great milestone.
I'm off for the next couple of weeks visiting relatives. Thank heaven I'm not smoking or the trip would have been cut very short.

Congrats Slim. With that nicotine hook gone there's much more freedom & comfort.
Hope everyone has a good summer. Those who enjoy the heat & humidity, happy sweating I'll smile again in 4 months! Well, maybe not. No pro football would be a downer.

Checking in! What a great post Slim! How soon we forget. Sometimes I now forget I ever smoked. That is indeed a far cry from counting the seconds and just breathing and holding on to the next breath! Congratulations to a swell guy! I'm so glad you quit and I'm sure your family and friends are too - so you can grace our earth awhile longer!
KTQ everyone!
