August heralds the dog days of summer. Altho from the looks of things, those dog days have settled a bit early on the South. I can't imagine smokers are enjoying any pleasure in the deep south broiler.
Still busy but smokeless. I went to cut the front lawn the other day and found that hornets made a moderate basketball nest in the tree out near the sidewalk, chin level. I got the hint they didn't want me mowing around them. They set up home in a busy place too with kids and dogwalkers. Can't leave them there to chance. Two cans of bee kill and I think their numbers are dwindling. They have plenty of soldiers in reserve however and I'll be buying another can tonite.
Other than that, no complaints. The kids are throught with their summer camps and now it's the slow grind until school starts in 3 weeks.

I was out and about this week trying to absorb the Dog Days of summer and so now i have a sunburn ;D sounds like we follow a similar path my friend...winding down till schools starts and trying to get everything in before that happens. The wave of rain over the last few days has the grass thinking it can grow....may have to mow it before weeks end. With the kids gone at camp or camping with friends....i never knew how much you worry about them till they get home safe and sound. Now i understand my parents just a bit better. Anyways, I still....................................... 10 Years 1 Month 3 Weeks 2 Days 16 Hours 10 Minutes 23 Seconds. Cigarettes not smoked: 111170. Money saved: $22,234.04. Hello all! We have finally got summer here at last with weather more like fall than summer. Crazy weather. Most of the continent melting we were looking for a sweater. Three weeks till school? Gosh. So soon? Well sounds like you are having a pleasant summer. I'm enjoying the warm sunny days. Still not smoking. I do get passing thoughts and they remind me to be vigilant and not to take my quit for granted. Being freed from smoking has changed my life. A miracle. Keep the quit everyone. Till next week.
