Thought I'd post to the roll now since I won't be around on monday morning and have a free moment.
Last week started off busy at work and then life changes in a moment. That moment was my daughter falling 10~12 feet from a tree in the ajoining woods and screaming bloody murder. I carried her out of the woods and to the hospital where she had surgery to pin her left arm back together. She injured her pelvis where the spine meets and hasn't been able to walk yet. On Monday we see the surgeon again and hope the arm swelling is down enough to move to a permanent cast. She's able to sit up on her own now so the pelvis is showing some improvement. She will heal but this could had easily been horribly worse. Got to look on the positives where I can and at least I'm still able to carry her around--barely~she's getting too big and I'm getting old'er. On the plus side I get to spend a lot more Daddy-Daughter time.
Ya know I heard that long quiet smoke voice tempting me. Below my daughter's room outside the ER side door I saw someone smoking. That look he had said it all, worry. Each drag and forced exhale looked as if he was hoping the smoke would take his worry from him.
The dawn of a new day is peering thru the slats on the window. Soon we'll draw the blinds and welcome the new day with the hope that it brings.

Don I'm so sorry to hear your daughter is hurt. Our children are our lives and when something happens to them we want to take all that pain into ourselves and suffer it for them. I do hope that everything turns out well for her and she is up and walking SOON. I do hear that little voice in the back of my head every so often, especially in times of high stress. Even after all these years it still gets to me. Don't drop your guard.

Don
That must have been a challenging day. When our kids are hurt...we hurt..that is just how it goes. I am sure she will heal up and be back to running around soon. Just in case, i will say a little prayer for good news from the doctors!
Be well my friend and stay strong...like i know you will!
And Dorothy, my prayers are with you and your family as well!
