The year is just cruising by!
Soon the kids go back to school again.
I've been spending a lot of time camping with the Boy's scout troop. Off again next week for another tick inducing romp through the forests. I don't mind the hot weather we're having here but it makes it tough to sleep outdoors.
Where I live the storms have been either north or south of us and everything is tinder dry. July 4th fireworks are cancelled.
I can't even imagine smoking in the heat and with the dry conditions we have I hope the smokers don't carelessly toss their cigs away.
Did they ever come to a conclusion on what started those fires in Colorado and other western areas?
anyway...no cigs since...oct 27 '99.

6 months gone and summer is in full gear! Temps are high and everything needed water until yesterday and today......the rain came down in buckets along with some hail. Winds kicked up pretty high as well....some nasty storms. Should keep the grass from wilting to a dull brown. ;-)
Kids have 2 months till schools starts...i am starting to think that is to long to have off...they get stupid over the long summer break. Things still busy for me and working a bit to hard...looking forward to a get away this summer sometime. or maybe two long weekends...who knows.
Hope you have a nice week and stay cool!~

Hi everyone. My sympathies to all suffering from this heat wave. We in Vancouver have finally got summer with fall-like weather (and not the nice kind) lingering all through our spring. My place gets the afternoon sun and has been like an oven last week. Yesterday it must have been 80-90 in here. I'm not exaggerating. It was so hot that my phone even heated up and went a bit wonky. I am ok with it as long as I don't have to go to work. It's dressing for the office that I find challenging. Anyhow, I'm not complaining! Thankfully I no longer smoke so I can breathe easier.
It is being considered here in BC whether to eliminate the two month summer break for the schools. It actually stems from the agricultural days when all hands were needed for the crops. I agree with it as two months does cause memory loss and momentum as well. It is on the table for debate.
Well, all is well with me and I have quitting smoking to thank for much of that. Stay cool gentlemen.
