I cannot recall anyone who has quit on a first attempt.
It does take a while to condition ourselves, to muster the
resolve to quit. I cannot, nor will not throw stones.
For I may find myself in that condition someday. And throw
myself upon the drumhead and stand before you all in your
judgement. I have to admit to myself that I am human and
sometimes I'm not in my right mind. A slip CAN happen.
The challenge is to prevent that. To stay alert, stand

Quit is a verb and not just a statement of fact. It is
an action, a painting of our lives in progress. Quit is a
mythical place where we are never burdened with the desire
to smoke again. Get out those checkbooks people 'cause I
got some beautiful bridges over swampland for you.
No matter how many times we all stumble and gather here (or
J4U) for support, we all must look into the mirror an
stare at ourselves. We must place the value and the blame
upon what we see. Heaven may be bliss, but not too many
are making a mad rush for it. We're just all tryin' to
reserve seating.
God help us all!
And yeah, drop the smoke my friend, and take my hand, the
journey's much more enjoyable than going it alone.
