1. It is your quit and your quit alone, no ones opinion on how you do it or how you
maintain it counts except your own.
2. Do it for you and you alone. All others are a side benefit.
3. There is no fear, not in quitting, not in maintaining a quit. If you have fear, you are
replacing one addiction with another.
4. Time heals everything, take each day as it comes.
5. Whether it is your first quit or your fiftieth it does not matter. What does matter is that
you achieve your goal, the rest is fluff and let no one tell you differently
6. If you "slip"? Don't kick yourself and don't let anyone come down on you, its your quit,
not theirs. There are no saints on this site, if there were, messages would not disappear
into space, the server would run faster and they wouldn't be here in the first place. Learn
why you "slipped" and find a way to avoid it in the future
7. Never use the word failure. There is no such thing in quitting smoking. You are only a
failure if you give up trying.
8. Use your own mind to work your way through it. Take what is helpful to you and toss the
rest. No two quits are the same.
9. Smoking and Nicotine mask emotions. When you quit and if you start to bi*ch, whine,
laugh uncontrollable, whatever. It is your body and mind adjusting to a drug free way of
looking at things. In time, it sorts itself out. You're not crazy, believe me.
10. Is it worth it? You're bloody right it is. Go for it.
So keep on laughing till it hurts, it kills the cravings and believe me, no one has ever died
from a craving.
