Every day I have to walk up this really steep hill and every day I would have to stop half way up to catch my breath. Today, I was almost to the top when I realized I wasn't out of breath and I wouldn't have to stop!
I feel so much better already (just over 2 weeks into this); it's hard to believe I used to go around half winded and think it was okay!

It does feel good! Been there, not going back ever.

The small things start to add up Elaine. As an addict we ignore the facts and just smoke....as you fight the addiction (or the beast if you prefer), and the victories begin to add up, the truth starts to make sense, the little things seem bigger and you continue your journey into smobriety! Catching your breath is just the beginning...if you start to write down all the "little things" the list could get pretty long! I was fond of the "I don't stink anymore" and a 10 dollar bill last alot longer in my wallet then it used to!

That's way cool Elaine. Ah, life's simple pleasures. The small things add up to a great big total. You're doing great. KTQ. And by the way, none of "don't stink any more".

Elaine, that's great! I know how you feel...I can now push a double stroller (with 2 kids) all over our neighborhood, and my lungs are not suffering! My back and knees aren't any better, but at least I can breath through the pain! J
