I just had to share this. It's just so great not smoking. Yesterday I sat in while the lawyer I work for was in trial. In all the years I've worked in law, I've never been in court! It was really interesting and the tension was palpable. The poor guy has to stand during the examination (as does the lawyer). It's much like getting heck. Well, it dawned on me that I had been riveted on the testimony for about 15 minutes and when I used to smoke, I probably would have ended up coughing but I was AOK.
A couple of weeks ago, I found out about the Tylenol recall and also got an article from my health alert that Tylenol with Codeine can cause migraines to last up to two weeks. Well, that always happens to me. I went off Tylenol and would you believe it? No more headaches.
This week has been very tense and non-stop and yet no headache. I've been drinking a lot of water, remembering to stretch and trying to stay cheery and calm. All this has come about since I quit smoking. I was just working and thought about all this and how calm I am despite the week and how good it was to be so calm and happy and I had to share it with you here because it is all because I quit smoking.
I had to work on Sunday (8.5 hours non-stop) to prep for the trial I just mentioned and although it was demanding, I feel great. It's hard to believe it was just last week. That energy is due to not smoking and the attendant diet and exercise regime I now have.
Post here and share with us how your life has been enriched today because you no longer smoke.
