We all we that weight gain happens when you quit smoking. I'm still fearing it since I've only quit for 2 weeks, I've always wondered why and I found the reason in this article I read that I want to share with the rest of you. I find that the more you know about something, the easier it is to deal with it, so since weight gain is my major concern, I've gone out to learn as much about it as I can. Article

I couldn't stay on low carb either. I managed 4 weeks, but like you, the "no fruit" really got to me... I need more variety than just apricots and strawberries!
I'm now on my own diet, calorie restricted, low fat, reduced carb diet. I let myself eat carbs for breakfast and lunch but I cut it out at night, so no pasta or rice for dinner (but vegetables ok). It's working slowing... yay! and I think this is something I can stick to.

Wow, I've heard of weight gain due to menopause but I haven't heard about a gain so much in 2 weeks that you don't fit into your clothes anymore :\
I hope you've seen the doctor about this!

I've been using this site. I've only been smoke free for a couple of weeks (cold turkey!) but I've been feeling better. Trying to replace cigarettes with water and as a consequence, I've been going to the toilet every 30 minutes! lol

*waves* Hello everyone, I'm a new member (all of about 15 minutes old!) and wanted to pop in for a hello. I've quit for almost 2 weeks now... yay for me! Probably not so yay for my partner who's suffering from my This is the first time I've quit and I feel great other than the I'm surprised that my lungs already feel clearer, or maybe I'm just imagining things!
