Doing alot better it seems coming close to the end of second my second week.
I find doing stuff around the house, tiling, building fences, gardening, putting in new windows, etc. keep my mind occupied and the wife loves the improvments.
I will do my best to check in daily.
Have a great evening!

Hi Blake. It's often said "Cravings don't kill". True and you've been demonstrating your ability to withstand the moments of cigarette desire.
You're cleaning your mind as well as your body. Let nothing make you stray back to smoking.
Congrats!

You're doing great Blake. Your commitment is awesome. Keep checking in. It does the body good. ;D Once you're off the patch, the smoking dreams should come under control. At least you have the satisfaction of knowing that they are only dreams. KTQ.

It's Thursday and things seem to seem a little routine. I guess that is what I want.
The cravings are still there. The other night, while watching that TV show Cold turkey, I wanted a smoke pretty bad. Maybe it was just me seeing what I went through during hell week.
Anyhow, I gotta get to work. Have a great day and don't smoke nomattawhat!!!!

Three weeks, four days, 19 hours, 16 minutes and 57 seconds. 903 cigarettes not smoked, saving $135.46. Life saved: 3 days, 3 hours, 15 minutes.
I am crying as I type this.
I went to my Dr. today to figure out what is going on with these Hives I keep getting all over my body. It is a reaction to the Nicotine patch I am using. These hives itch and are almost at the point of bleeding so I took the patch off as suggested.
I have been off the wellbutrin and patch now for almost 5 hours and I can't stand it. My body is making me cry trying to justify why it is ok for me to start smoking again. I want a cig so bad I would kill someone for it. I ahve my wallet and keys with me but I have stopped myself several times getting in my car to go buy cigs.
I have said to myself again, again, again. again, and again, maybe I was not ready this time when I quit Three weeks, four days, 19 hours, 19 minutes and 26 seconds. 903 cigarettes not smoked, saving $135.48. Life saved: 3 days, 3 hours, 15 minutes. - ago. I want a cig so bad. I want a cig so bad. I hope by typing this it relieves some of my pain but it is not working. I am emabarresed I even want to smoke after being off the beast for almost a month.
I need to get through this day and if I want to smoke tomorrow I will. this is the only way I will get through the night. I know I am having cravings and this is the result of me crying. I wish the cravings would stop so my crying will as well.
Please god help me get through this. No matter what I know I can't smoke. But I want to sooooooo bad you have no idea. Actually you probably do because most of you reading this have been off the cigs for quite some time. Why am I haveing these cravings after being off them for so long. At this point I am probably boring you as you read this. See, I could haev went to the store and got some cigs and be smoking now thinking" Wow I just F#@#kin' blew a month of being a non-smoker. The smell of smoke repulses me and why do I want it so bad? It is because of all those A#$%^&les in Big Tabaccos legally able to sell this most addictive drug called Nicotine! Wow imagine if Pepsi was allowed to put some sort of drug in their soft drink and no other drink company was allowed to. They would have everyone drinking Pepsi because of the cravings and withdrawls you would get if you didn't smoke.
Please god, let me get through this night. Wow, the tears have gone away since I have been typing 1,234,456 words per minute on this B.B.
If I don't post tomorrow, I will be back in a month when I decide not to smoke and try to KTQ again =(

Hello Blake, welcome to the group. I have not been on much lately but I still come and read cause it helps. I will be quit 5 years coming Nov. 17 of this year. You can do this and it will not be easy. In fact it could be harder still before it gets better. BUT it does get better. I like you had crying jags and thought I would go nuts but I knew I could not go back to smoking. I read you cannot use the patch due to hives. Why not Zyban, you were using that but is that bothering you? If it does talk to your Dr. before you go light up a smoke. Buy the gum before lighting up a smoke. Do anything BUT buy those d**n cigs. We have all been there where you are right now. BUt you will never get to where we are if you light up!!! You can do this and in fact you have done this!!!! Hang in there it does get better. Smoking is not an option and smoking will never be the same as it was. You are a NON smoker now. Do not give up as you will have to start all over one day and it does not get any easier!!!! You have already went through enough, do you want to start all over. It does not get any easier the more times you quit! It is still up to you to do this!!!!

Blake. How are you? You're going thru an important time of a quit. The feeling of fear, anger, disorientation, hopelessness...all mixed together and trying to make you smoke. Start moving. Get your mind on something besides cigs. Read, exercise, stand in the corner & yell, build something, trim the bushes...just stay busy!
Remember: Cravings don't kill, smoking does.
God bless...prayer helps too.

Welcome Blake - You found the IMHO the greatest no smoking group on the net. I landed here 4 l/2 years ago and posted everyday. I whined, I cryed, I gained weight,I got depressed initially, but everything kind of gets better little by little. I wonder today how I could have done that to myself, smoking all those years.
You have to get some time between you and the cigarette (the cloud clears). You will see what I mean. Give yourself that chance, that gift. Let your body heal from this awful drug.
Drink lots of water, talk walks, get plenty of rest and do not pick up a cigarette, no matter what happens to you.
