Thought I would stop by and wish everyone a Happy New Year. Been smokefree almost 10 years and don't miss them. I never thought I could do it, but so glad I did. My grandsons are 18 and 11. I have a granddaughter who is 9. I never thought I would use oxygen, but this is what smoking does. I also have sleep apnea and that machine is connected to my oxygen. This is the price I pay for my mistake. I am grateful everyday that I and give my thanks

Hi Slim Glad you stopped by and are doing well. I just moved to a smaller home. I fell and broke my wrist and was miserable. Am doing better now. I will never smoke again. My daughter and son smoke and I wish they would quit. Seems like they would after watching me struggle withe copd. I don't nag them cause it wouldn't help. Have a great week everyone.

Thank you Karen. It sure was tempting to have a drink and a cigarette, but I didn't. I worked too hard to quit. It seems good to have someone here. It is lonely and I was about to give up. Hopefuly, everyone stops by again.

Don or anyone ever stop by and try to check in or is this over? This place has been a blessing for me because I got the support and encouragement I need to stop smoking. It has been a little more than 9 years and I will never smoke again. Life moves on but I remember the friendship here.

I stop by once in awhile and no one checks in anymore. I guess everyone quit smoking and moved on. This is March 2017 and I am still smokefree.

Good morning Don. Glad you stopped by. I know everybody has a busy life. It seems as though the days go by so fast. It has been a hot summer for sure but I would rather have this than the cold winters I have central air and that's good. I miss Dee alot. She was always so cheerful.

Does anyone stop by anymore. I have some very sad news. Dee Sadro told me about this group and how it helped her to quit smoking. She was my best friend and like a sister. She went in the hospital February 2, the day before her birthday and was there for 2 months and home only a month and was rushed back and unfortunately didn't make it. She was laid to rest this morning. I miss her so much. She leaves behind her husband, 3 children and several grandchildren. If anyone reads this and remember her, please share a memory.

I thought about this forum today and decided to see if anyone comes here anymore. Not much activity. I have been doing fine. I don't think about smoking anymore. Doesn't seem like it's been almost 7 years ago that I quit and never looked back. Hope everyone is doing okay.

I'm here still smokefree. My husband passed 18 months ago. He just couldn't give them up. His birthday is 25th of this month. I had carpal tunnel surgery Monday. I will be glad when it heals and I can use my hand. Sorry about your loss Karen.

Hello, Took a chance to see if anyone checks in anymore. My daughter called me today and said her doctor told her she needs to stop smoking. She is going to take Chantix and see what goes. Have a good week.

I stopped checking in because I was the only one here. I just took a chance tonight. 2014 was a stressful year for me because my husband passed away and the holidays were hard on me, my 3 kids and 3 grandkids. My husband lost his brother last February from brain cancer so it hasn't been easy for any of us. I was mighty tempted to smoke, but I didn't. That wouldn't solve anything. I really wish there was a cure for copd. I had a sleep study done a couple of weeks ago and now have sleep apnea and will be getting a machine soon. I wonder if copd and sleep apnea go hand in hand or no. Hope everyone has a happy 2015 and I hope mine will be better.

I will be the one to start roll call for September and hope someone will join me. I am smokefree and glad that I am. I regret not quitting sooner. Then I wouldn't have to see doctors so often and wouldn't have this lung disease. I have to see a lung specialist tomorrow and also have to have another sleep study next month. Smoking wasn't worth all this. If anyone out there is struggling to quit, come here. There's usually someone around. Have a good week everyone.
Six years, two months, one week, four days, 7 hours, 55 minutes and 43 seconds. 45266 cigarettes not smoked, saving $12,448.31. Life saved: 22 weeks, 3 days, 4 hours, 10 minutes.
